Please help truck wont go into P/R or N and shift indicator is way off

Truck won't go in P/R/N it use to be just park I had to constantly tighten the tork bolts to the gear shift bracket and the dash indicator has always been off well last night I tried to put it in park and it was like the gear shifter broke it was super super lose and wouldn't go into P/R/N so I tightened the tork bolts again and the prnd21 was way way off but it seemed fine and managed to get it home then today I went to my sons school and went to put it in park and it made a sound like something broke and again I have no P/R/or N now I have no way to start my truck which means I have no car!!!!???Please someone help I'm at wits end with this I have 3 boys and can't be with a car

And I have checked the tork bolts and they are still tight and the indicator is even more off when I try an put it in P r or N its like it's blocked from going past R put Wil go in D 2 and 1 When you move the shifter
