Please help w/ my new 4x4

I am a new owner of a 91 XLT 4x4 and I am having trouble with my 4 wheel drive. I have automatic 4x4 and when I press the button I can hear a clicking noise but I do not think it is engaging into 4 wheel drive. Also when I press the button my 4 wheel drive lights do not come on, on the panel. What do I need to check? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Do a search here for the subject.... there are tons of threads discussing that in the past....I would guess you shift motor has seized up...
