watch the frame buckle behind the front tires, The frames on the 3rd + 4th gens just arnt made to handle the stresses of plowing. Im sure the warning is there for a reason, id listen to it for sure.
I don't think you'd hit a snow bank that hard... but yes it could happen.
Then again Ive seen a F250 that hit a concrete curb that buckled like that.
It just comes down to that fact that the Explorer was not designed to plow, but in moderation and being careful, it can do it.
