I want to change the plugs and wirers on my 98 explorer sport what are the best ones to get. should I also change the cap a rotor? I'm trying to get better milage.

Plugs and wire

First there is not cap and rotor, it is electronic distribution. For the wire I cannot recommend any brand since I put back Ford OEM wires into mine. Some says after market are good and other dont see the difference. Maybe someone else here can answer the wire part?

There has been much discussion here on the best plugs and wires to run. Now that the search feature is up again, you should try that. There's plenty of info on it. Some say Bosch +4 Platinum plugs are the best for mileage and performance, some have had problems with them though. I run Motorcraft in mine without any trouble. As far as wires, some here run Magnacore, Jacobs, and others. Your best bet is to try the search and see what you come up with.
