Plugs, plug wires, and coils: when to replace?

I'm okay with one less thing to adjust, especially with that thin electrode.

Plugs & Wires

My 99 Eddie 5.0 started all of the sudden running really rough one day with only about 60K on it. Come to find out the plug wires had gone south and were dropping out 2 cylinders and were replaced with Motorcraft wires. At that time it was a no brainer to replace the plugs also. The threads on the plugs got a spot of never seize to insure ease of removal the next time. The car has 104K on it now with no problem.

^ Be careful with anti-seize. When put on plated, long life plugs it lubricates them a little and they tighten (screw in) more from same torque then many years later from the longer plug life the anti-seize may be less effective and cause more torque to be needed for removal. Then again, rust does the same thing.
