Never seen a problem with piaa. I'm getting some 6" (I think) installed on my safari bar sometime this decade. My dad has 2 sets of PIAA on his superduty grill guard: the top ones are just high enough so that when he turns them on, they're shining right in the back window of most cars and trucks. REAlly bright considering how small they are.
I had some elcheapo kc lights on the front and rear for construction lighting purposes only, like staying late pouring cement with no electric available or finding tools left around when it got dark and they worked fine.
I didn't vote because I never really tried any good ones or other brands.
I've had KC, ProComp and PIAA and out of all them the PIAA was byfar the best. granted they were the most expensive, but theyir wiring harness and awesome and qualit of the ligths is unbelievable. those plasitc gaurds that go on the front of them, despite popular belief, do actually work to protect them in accidents. Plus, the United States PIAA headquarters is about 10 miles from where i live so if anything goes wrong with em i just drive in and get new ones.
I picked other cause you dont have Pro Comp for a light manufacturer. Not really sure that they are much better than the no name lights. I got them at the 4x4 Expo on a 2 for 1 deal so I couldnt pass them up.
I have had them for over a year now and just recently had to replace one of the bulbs. Plus they have out lived my buddies Blazers from wal-mart.
