You should get the greaseable ones from EE.. Not sure how they help handling but they'll last forever!

well what exactly do they do. Do I need to change my stock ones if my truck has 99k miles?

are you having problems with them?

I have a set of Energy Suspension bushings on the front of my '98. They replace the stock swaybar bushings and endlinks and limit movement of the front swaybar to improve handling. When I installed them at 102k, my old rubber bushings were dried out and hard as rocks. Replacing them really tightened up the front end in corners.

thanks kfk

Im going to check my front swaybar today and see how they are doing. If they are hard as rocks and dried out I am going to replace

Is EE the only people to sell the rear swaybar? They just cost so much

Where did you buy your enegery suspension products?

34mm 4.5155

Is that the part you ordered?

I ordered mine from Central 4WD, but many places have them. Here's the part# of the box for the front kit: 4.5155G 98-00 Explorer Frt. s.b.b. Set
The bushings that go between the swaybar and the frame are 34mm.
I would do the endlinks at the same time though, not just the frame bushings.

As for the EE rear swaybar, I know some people here have Saleen rear bars, but I don't know how easy they are to find these days, or what they cost. The EE bar does come with polyurethane bushings for the rear, as well as split collets to further limit movement, so it's a decent package. Those are the only two I know of. They do come used in the For Sale forum from time to time, but they tend to go fast.

This thread has a bit more info on the front bushings near the bottom.

And here's a current thread on the rear swaybar:
