This all started when i read this gem on kbb

this fundamental departure from the previous body-on-frame configuration helped trim almost 100 pounds from the new Explorer's curb weight

I would have thought the change would have made way more of a difference then that personally.

Maby i'm over thinking all this, but i got curious to see how the weight has evolved over the years. I figured since i took the time to look all that up i might as well share it.
