Well I got curious about how choked down the stock air box was on my 95 so I took the lower half off and left the stock rubber duct and MAF and did a press fit of sorts to the graying brand X filter in there and drove it back to school yesterday, didn't really notice a whole lot power down in the lower speeds, but it doesn't sound as strained above 3000 and the cruise control didn't hunt between 3rd and 4th going up and down hills as often.
One thing I didn't notice was the intake roar, I'm used to small block Chevy's and the GM 2.8 V-6 roaring away with an open element on them, but the X was just a quiet as it always is.
Just curious if the KKM is quieter or gives more power than my Southern-engineered setup?
