That was something! Seems to me they hit the bottle while the engine was lugging at low rpms... motors don't like that. They can't use all that extra air and fuel until their spinning some Rs.

I used to get nitrous explosions all the time in my Dodge Dart. Back then the dang solenoids would stick and nitrous would leak past the valve while the engine was off. Turn over the engine and KAPOW!! It would blow off every vaccum line on the motor. It sounded like an M-80, but no damage.
