Ok, so I am helping my dad move and have had the truck LOADED down with boxes and furniture all day. I am one of those guys that checks the fluids once a week, like clockwork. When coming out of his house at the end of the day I see a very small dark spot under the truck.(about the size of a nickel) So I crawl underneath the truck and sure enough it is tranny fluid. When looking up, there is one drop hanging from the bellhousing and a slight amount of fluid that is leading to it, so thin that you almost cannot see it. I checked the fluid(I put about 100miles on the truck today) and it is still full, looks great, smells fine. I know that the front seal is a common failure part on the tranny :(, and I was wanting to get some input from others who have experienced this. Basically, with it just being a very small seep, could it do this for a long time, where I just need to keep checking the fluid and adding every now and again, or does this mean that it is getting ready to blow and I need to get this seal fixed ASAP. BTW, the tranny is shifting great, no slipping whatsoever, no weird sounds, smells. Thanks in advance for any help. :)

First off, sorry about putting this thread in the wrong forum. I am new to the site and didn't see the transmissions and transfer cases forum further down. As an update, have been checking the fluid and looking under the vehicle like a maniac for the last couple of days. Drove the vehicle around in stop and go traffic as well as some highway speeds for a solid 45 minutes yesterday, still has not lost any fluid on the dip stick, and the fluid still looks great with no funny smells yet. Looking under the truck the leak has stopped and now there is only the starting of a drip that was there yesterday but it won't release itself from the bottom of the bellhousing. As a reminder, it was never really "leaking", it was just seeping a small amount from where the bellhousing meets the engine. The day that it did seep some fluid I had it loaded up to the roof with heavy boxes and some furniture all day long, in stop and go traffic. Anyone think that it is possible that the torque converter could be leaking from a weld or something? From what I have read, when a front seal goes bad more times than not after driving it for a while the thing starts really losing fluid and the tranny starts acting up. Transmission is still shifting great, no flare or slipping, and I just got back from a good 30 minute mix of city/hwy driving. Any input would be greatly appreciated. :)
