Ok, so I am helping my dad move and have had the truck LOADED down with boxes and furniture all day. I am one of those guys that checks the fluids once a week, like clockwork. When coming out of his house at the end of the day I see a very small dark spot under the truck.(about the size of a nickel) So I crawl underneath the truck and sure enough it is tranny fluid. When looking up, there is one drop hanging from the bellhousing and a slight amount of fluid that is leading to it, so thin that you almost cannot see it. I checked the fluid(I put about 100miles on the truck today) and it is still full, looks great, smells fine. I know that the front seal is a common failure part on the tranny
, and I was wanting to get some input from others who have experienced this. Basically, with it just being a very small seep, could it do this for a long time, where I just need to keep checking the fluid and adding every now and again, or does this mean that it is getting ready to blow and I need to get this seal fixed ASAP. BTW, the tranny is shifting great, no slipping whatsoever, no weird sounds, smells. Thanks in advance for any help.
