i finally decided to do a tt with some shackles yesterday. i also replaces all 4 shocks with rancho 9000x's. now my problem is it feels like my steering is binding up. i only went up about 2 inches to level the front and back out. it was actually kinda weird because my left side torsion bar bolt is bottomed out and the right side still has a but left. did i go to high?? what else could cause the steering to do this?? when i lock the wheel to the left the whole left front dips down and the same with the right, the right side dips down. anyone with any advice?? btw truck is a 96 ohv 2wd.

did you get it alinged?

What do you mean by "dips down"?

no i didnt get it aligned, it rides nice and straight so i didnt figure i needed to...as far as dipping down if i lock the wheel to the right the right front of the vehicle dips, its very hard to decribe, ive never seen anything like it before. im actually wondering if it might be caused be the bad upper ball joints, i noticed they were pretty bad last night when i did the shocks...

Do you mean that the tire is at a weird angle?

And an alignment is NOT AN OPTION when getting a TT!!!!!! Just because it drives straight doesn't mean you don't need an alignment. You will prematurely wear your tires if you do not get it aligned.

i know that an aligment isnt an option, but after seeing those upper ball joints they need to be replaced, so ill get an alignment after that. as far as the vehicle when im sitting in it and lock the wheel to the left the front of the car drops, dips, dives, so im really not sure what it is. its almost as if i have air bags and im taking out the air in the bag, although not quite as extreme of a drop. and im kinda hoping my tires do wear quickly thatll give me the excuse to buy the 32's i want, instead of the stock size tires i have on now.
