I've just got back from a month of holiday's to find that the power door locks on my 99 xlt four door aren't working. The two front door switches will unlock but not lock the doors, my automatic lock is not working when I put the truck in Drive, my remote door lock is not locking but will unlock (will arm the factory alarm though) and here's the kicker!! the power door lock switch in the rear cargo area is working fine!! I had the truck undercoated a couple of day's before going on holiday's. I'm a licensed mechanic in the Canadian Army and this one is really perplexing me.

And just to make my life even more entertaining, she's running like ****!!! remind me not to leave for a month again with half a tank of gas in the tank when the tempertures are going form -20 to +20 in a coupple of weeks, damn condensation!!!

Your problem is likely associated with PK/V (I think... hard to read drawing letters)..... used to "send stuff" from the lock switches (not the cargo switch) to the lock relays. Along the route, there is also a splice that "picks up" your auto lock stuff.

ummm pk/v? I have no schematics for my truck here unfortunately so what might that module be? and how are you enjoying June in January In Ottawa?

that's not a module... its a wire color. Your relays are in the cargo compartment on the drivers side. The problem could be from a splice in the rear left door jam back toward those relays. As for the weather.. :-) just got off the tennis court. Almost want to cancel my trip to Hawaii in February... not... :-) but I like the no shovel winter.

would you have an online version of that schematic that I could see? from what your saying it could be close to one of the holes that they made when I got my undercoating done, would help to isolate the actual problem, and dumb me I realized after I posted the reply on the actual nature of the pk/v :) and also after trying other things the mirror courtesy lights and keypad lock arent working as well. and I hear you on that one, it was weird to come back from Cancun on xmas eve in shorts and being comfortable in Montreal, so enjoy Hawaii and thanks for the help

don't have an on-line... using ford truck CD... there has been a site posted for this...poke around. I bought mine for $5 a while back before finding out about the download site. It doesn't really show a good picture of "exactly" where things are so you might have to root around following the wire (color). As for your other "finds", my 96 doesn't have those options so I can't tell you where to look.... make sure you choose the right year if you use the download site.
