The power door locks on my 2000 Ranger XLT have about given up. The one of the passenger side will not work - the lock just bounces up and down a little bit, but does not lock or unlock. The one on the drivers side does open remotely some of the time. Strangely, it seems to work better if I hit the button on the key fob when I am some distance from the truck. The interior lights come on regardless, so I know its getting the signal. So, do I replace the actuators, lubricate them, lubricate some part of the internal mechanism, or just live with it? Thanks, Dave

It sounds like the door lock actuators are getting tired. We have them on our site with free shipping. Here's a link to them if you would like to check them out.
