Power Drain Issues...

My Explorer is starting to get power drains...

I can see my volt meter jump sometimes, and fall almost all the way down if I'm opening the window...

Yesterday it acted like my battery was completely dead when I tried to start my engine...

After about 3 tries it started up...

Check for corroded battery cables. Sometimes the corrosion is under the insulation where its not obvious.

Also, you may have a bad cell in the battery. At first it will be intermittent, but soon it will fail completely if it is a bad cell.

Isn't "evil republican" redundant?

perhaps one of the diodes in the alternator cooked.
