Ok guys, this is my first Ford (mainly a GM guy but always loved the Ford trucks) and for some reason I have no issues with power till I warm up. When I warm up, it feels like I have a huge a$$ turbo cause it lags and sputters until I hit 2K on the tach in every gear, then when it does hit 2K I shoot off as if the turbo kicked in (I DON'T HAVE A TURBO, ITS THE ONLY WAY THAT I COULD THINK TO EXPLAIN MY SITUATION CLEARLY). After 2K though, I have no issues. I mean, I have an idea around cars/trucks but anything I think of gets shot down cause it only happens on the short side of the tach . Thanks a head of time guys.

they generally lack power till u hit 20k. idk about sputtering tho

well my experiance with the spuddering if you dont have a CEL Id check plugs and wires maybe some arcing going on Check the gap

Its a '93 so i didn't know that there was a plug for the scanner. The problem that I'm having is that it bogs down after she's warmed up, she works fine when I start her up and just go, it's after the engines warm that things start to go wrong. I've never had trouble with vacuum lines before, how do I check for them? Also, the truck just got plugs, wires, coil pack, MAFS and a drilled out cat. before I bought it, I saw the records and I worked with the guy I bought it from.

Could that problem have been caused by a bad fuel pump relay?? The reason I ask is because I hopped in to teach a buddy how to drive stick and it started but died almost immediately, so I started with the fuses and relays. I ended up switching up the fuel pump relay with the blower motor relay because I didn't hear the fuel pump when I was just turning the key from "off" to "on" before I attempted to turn it over, and after that I drove the truck around for about 3-4 hours and didn't run into a problem.

Do a compression check, and a leakdown test on each cylinder.
Also, the OHV needs backpressure for low end torque. maybe the drilled out cat just made things more noticeable?

Check the fuel pressure, fuel pressure regulator, and vacuum lines. Those would be simpler items to check. Pull the vacuum lines off to check each of them. Look for any transmission fluid in a vacuum line, or a loose connection. Welcome and good luck,
