Power Mirrors-Replacing Glass-'96 Explorer

I have a shattered drivers side rear view mirror. I have found the glass at Parts Source for a good price ($16.99 Can.)....other parts stores only have the complete unit which includes the cowling (moulding). Does anyone know how to remove the moulding to replace the mirror ? Any suggestions are much appreciated...don't want to take it to Ford ($$$$$). Thanks ! !

various manufactures do it various ways.
I THINK Ford snaps in place.
That said I have had varrying success in replacing JUST the glass.

Used Power Door Mirror - Toronto, Canada - '96 Explorer

Anyone know where I can locate a drivers side electric door mirror in Toronto ? - Also need the seatbelt coupling - part the seatbelt clips into - my belt keeps coming loose. Thanks.

Get the miror ask a glass shop how much theyll charge you, if its like 20 i say go for it!
