2005 Explorer Limited V8
The power seat in my 2005 Explorer Limited stopped working yesterday. I checked the fuse and it was blown so I bought new ones. I put the new one in and as soon as I connected the battery back up it blew. I put another one in and it did the same thing. Does anybody have any idea what is going on? My wife drives the vehicle with my 3 kids and she is have a hard time reaching the pedals.

Are there any wires bent and broken/exposed causing it to short out or anything? Check undert the seat, it could have just gotten worn or something from moving back/fourth/up and down so much...

I will give that a check.

I took the door apart and checked all the wires. They were all fine. I did notice that when I hit the button to move the seat I can hear a clicking noise even without the fuse being in. Could the motor for the seat be bad or possibly a wire under the seat be bad. Like I said before, the fuse blows as soon as I try putting it in.
