03 XLT seat cushion front will not go up or down. Just makes a buzzing sound when i hit the switch. Looked under seat, cant see any problems or anything stuck.
Its in the worst position possible, tilted up. If i remove the seat im not sure if i can manually adjust.
Any help would be great.

By the way, everything else works on the seat electrically. Just the front seat cushion wont tilt.

Not sure if I can be of any help but when these assemblies jam it is usually at the end of travel positions. Brute force while holding the switch might work but do not hold the switch for more than a couple of seconds at a time as it could damage the motor. Hopefully you can fix this without taking it apart.

I got the seat down by turning the shaft with channel locks while hitting the switch. I need a replacement plastic gear from what i can tell. I have no idea where to find this part, but everytime i get in this truck, something is breaking. Just picked this thing up, and im ready to dump it, only 67k miles, and this is like the 4th fix in 3 weeks. Im pretty dissapointed. I read some threads that the seat rail goes for 600 bucks. No way im shelling that out. I need a plastic gear to make this work. Why would ford put a plastic gear in there is beyond me.....
