Hey guys, quick question, i have a power steering leak, the guy at the shop told me it was my pump, i can tell where it is coming from so all i need is for someone to verify what the pump looks like on a 92 explorer, is this what the pitman arm is connected to? i was offered a pump for 40 bucks shipped to me, so it seems kinda cheap and i just want to make sure thats what it is before i order it, thanks for all of your help and happy wheelin

hmm

ok wait. exactly what is connected to the pitman arm? . is it the power steering box? cus what i need is what is connected to the pitman arm. thanks also if possible a pic, and how much you think the price would be?

the power steering box is mounted to the frame near the front bumper and is connected to the pitman arm. if it is leaking you may have a serious problem. we wrecked our explorer and one of the things that contributed to its "total loss" was that it needed a new ps box. the impact had damaged the sector shaft and caused it to leak. very dangerous and very expensive. make sure the lines are tight and not leaking. if the box itself leaks get it out of there!! good luck.

hey

hey yeah tahts it but i found the part for 65 and im doin the work myself, thanks
