Recently my 93 explorer XLT was leaking large amouts of fluid around the power steering pump and today i found the source of the fluid. when i turned the steering wheel with the engine off the power steering fluid bubbled up out of the tube and pops the cap off. then when i start the engine again the level drops too low. is this normal or do i have too much or too little fluid?? im really confused any help would be great!

yeah if you turn the wheel with the engine off p/s fluid will leak out the top, my question is, why would you be turning the wheel with the engine off anyways :P

since it has no brakes and i often have to move it in and out of the garage i have to push it and seeing my engine will stall unless theres somone reving it i cant have p/s while pushing it (as you may have guessed this explorer is a project) any ideas why its stalling? it will idle then stall when it tries to drop to 750 rpm
