Hey guys! This forum rocks as I've used it before to fix a few issues. Here goes:
1997 Explorer XLT 4.0L 2WD power everything. All fuses good.
The power window on my front passenger goes down fine but when it comes to going up, no go. It'll go up an inch and then stop. If I reach across and push on the glass, it will go up with the switch pressed for "up". A few days before this, when I would power the windows up with no problem, it would reach full closed but keep trying to raise the window. I would hear popping as it was trying to cycle the window up to infinity and then I would release the switch. Now I have to assist the window up. Is there anything I need to adjust when I get the door panel off and look at the "workings" of this power window? I have been looking at all the threads and don't recall anyone posting one like this. If so just point me in the right direction and many thanks for your efforts!
Another issue: The driver's side window will roll up fine and then hang at the last inch to full closed. Any suggestions here? I have got behind there and sprayed everything with white lithium grease and it seems to help 90% of the time. When it sticks, nothing will work after that either up or down on the switch until I physically either pull the window up or push it down.
