The other day i tried to open my window driver side but it was frozen shut then later that day it opened and wouldent go back up. today i opened the panel and tried to figure out the problem, i got the window to go up but it wont come down on its own, what makes the window stick the the track so it comes down? its a 94' by the way

could be the gears are stripped or the motor is shot... I ran into this problem and fixed it by replacing the window motors... You can find em at a junk yard usually if you look... just one option of what could be wrong

no

The motor and gears are fine becuase the metal thing inside goes up and down, the window just doesent come down with it becuase its not stuck to it or something.

Sounds like the roller either poped out of the track or, worst case, sheared off. Look for a roller wheel , usually plactic, in the bottom of your door. Hopefully its not there.
