I have a '95 4x4 xlt (4dr)...I'm driving it to and from college mostly, so its only driven a couple times a month, except for summer and christmas of course. I went to drive it today and the power windows don't work, neither do the interior dome lights. I checked the fuses, they look okay, but I couldn't find the relay. What could be the problem?
-Thanks

Those are controlled by the GEM module behind the radio. GEM also controls the 4wd and the chimes, so if those don't work either, thats a pretty good clue.

There is also a battery saver relay which shuts off power to those circuits after 15 minutes or so, in case you leave a door open or something.

Start with the battery saver relay, GEM modules are expensive.

Where's the battery saver relay? sounds like a good place to start, thanks

Ok, I checked all the fuses, I don't see a 'battery saver' fuse; so is it built in to the GEM? I tried unhooking the battery for 15 minutes, didn't change anything. The chimes still work, but the windows, interior lights, and 4x4 switch don't. The wipers work sometimes with the key on the acc. setting, but when I crank it up, they turn off. What now?

its a relay not a fuse. In 96 (my only reference), it behind the instrument panel (centerish). It is most likely your problem.

Ok, I'll need to check/replace a relay behind the instrument panel...any idea what it looks like and where, more specifically, it is?
