Can't speak for the Powerstop brand but take this for what its worth:
2008 Eddie Bauer (Gen 4) with approximately 30k miles so still original factory brakes. Driving through the Appalachia mountains through WV, etc I pretty much burned the stock brakes up. Warped/overheated rotors and scorched pads. Because of my driving style and knowing although Ford would replace those under warranty, I went with the Callahan (Yes the "Tommy Boy" one!) drilled/slotted rotors and ceramic pads. I couldn't be happier. They are quiet, clean, smooth and firm with shorter stopping distance than stock. I liked them so much, I put them on my wife's Taurus; my daughters Scion and my '96 Lincoln Continental, which I drive like I stole. The Lincoln is my work car getting 3k to 5k miles a month with stop-n-go driving that makes a New York cab sweat. Never a problem with any of them. Period!
Again, for what it's worth...
