I was wondering if any of you guys knew or could measure how thick your "check block" is that came with your powertrax. I bought one used, and it didnt come with the check block. Also, i searched around here and it seems that people don't install their thrust washers from the side gears back into the differential. The manual says to do that.....what's the deal?

thanks

Is this for a no-slip? PT

Guess it is, my install was for an open diff, the side washers went back in as per the instructions, the thickness should be between 0.029/0.033, if worn they should be replaced, the go no go gage or check block is 0.136/ GO- 0.169 no GO
Hope this helps
if you have a drill index #30 drill would be go, #18 no go

yeah, the no slip. I just put it in, and i think i screwed up. The pinion shaft was hard to get in, i had to hammer it. I suppose thats not normal. I buttoned it up and went for a drive, and its not working properly. why can't one just reuse the old pinion shaft?

The entire PT no slip is a precision system, the install needs to be drop dead perfect, sorry about your problems

I fixed it today. I had to uninstall and reinstall it; apparantly when i put it together the first time one of the drivers wasn't fully engaged with its coupler. Anyway, it works good. Thanks for the input spindlecone. Your fan is working well also, the truck stays cooler than the mechanical fan could keep it.
