Start spraying all the bolts with penatrating oil tomarrow. Soak everything you think you will need to unbolt. Do this every day untill you are ready to install your lift.

Ok the first thing you'll be doing huh? If you're anything like me you will become unbeleivably frustrated as to the complexity of things almost to the point of not even wanting your truck anymore. Make sure to take it easy, take frequent breaks, also, if you can, have some reliable friends come over to help. I will also pray for you.

well not the total first thing...this past weekend i swapped out my EGR Valve and Fuel Pressure Regulator, but those pale in comparison to something like this i assume. my little brother is gonna help me, and if worse comes to worse, i can call up my jeeper friends so they can come laugh at my disassembled X

That's interesting.......

The only friends I have that work on trucks are jeeper friends....and only they do is come over and make ford jokes and poke and prod at my truck while it's in about 60 pieces all over the garage. It's just lovely.

ahh yes, mine are the same way. like last weekend, i mustve heard "Just buy a Jeep" about 800 times. such fun times

Yep.......ever hear this one?

My 4.0 is SOOOO much easier to work on than yours.....yada...yada.....yada...i can just reach and grab my spark plugs.....yours are impossible to get to

It's then that I ask them why their engine smokes so much and makes funny noises when they reply....."it's a jeep thing, you wouldn't understand"

damn right I wouldn't understand

haha, ya...then i counter with something i saw on an explorer page somewhere awhile back. it was a picture of a big a$$ X eating a jeep with a caption "Jeep, its whats for dinner"
they always love that one

There ya go. I can run pretty much anywhere my friend's cherokees can go. That is, except for deep water. I'd much rather have my leather seats and comfortable ride than to ride in their squeaky, shaky cherokees though.
