Pro Comp 2WD 3" Lift Spindle Suspension Kit

Ive heard bad things about the EBAY ones. Ive heard they snap, im sure someone will chime in and tell you about thier experiences on here.
The Ebay spindles that i am interested in are not made by Springtech, they are made by Doetsch Enterprise and they seem to be a good company with good quality parts. Here's the link to the ebay spindles - EBAY Doetsch Enterprise Spindles. ALSO - i wrote a guy on EBAY and he told me about a site he bought his Ranger spindles from that sells the Ranger Edge spindles (same fitment as X's). They are made by SpringTech and they are only $326.99!!! Here's the link Front 3" Lift Spindle for 99-05 Edge.

I guess you could say I've been doing a lot of research.

Thanks,
Colton

Do you know the name of the company that made your spindle? What made it snap? Were you off-roading?

Thanks,
Colton

Offroaded, like 2 times the entire life of that truck, it broke, backing out of a parking spot. The part of have 37" tires might have contributed to it, but than again i ran 37"s on the procomps for a longer period of time, and didnt have any problem for them, and between the two, procomp and ebay ones, i could def. tell the pro comps were of a better cast. I will look in my ebay history and see and post back

Im sick of looking for these dang spindles already. I just need some that are strong enough to drive around on a 285/75/16 size tire.

***BTW***

My 265/75/16 *Almost BRAND NEW* BFG All-Terrains are for sell on the site for $500 obo

With a 3'' TT and 3'' Lift Spindles PLUS a SOA in the rear with shackles...could i clear 295/75/16's on the stock rim? Would i need to trim alot? I need to know before i buy the tires.

Thanks,
Colton

what does that equate into "s? also 3"s TT? Thats alot man, plan on replacing your ball joints, and not having it aligned perfectly. I dont mean to sound rude, but ive been there done this... It will look sick, thats for sure, so good luck.

295/75/16's equal out to 33.4''.

Well, maybe not the full 3'' TT but at least enough to level it out with the SOA + shackles. I may have to go back to the stock shackles if i can't level out the front, and just be happy with 5'' front and back. By The Way, i just replaced all four ball-joints about 1 month ago with the MOOG ones so i should be good on them for a while.

Thanks..........and XplorerKid, i think if anyone can help me with this lift that im trying to do, it's you, because you have been through all of this before somewhat, so i may come to you for more advice when i get close to the install.

Are the MOOG balljoints preferred over stock ones? I can get a good deal on dealer parts.

How much did you pay for the MOOG parts?

Yes, they are preferred over the stock ones. They also come with a new upper control arm. I think i paid about $229 from O'Reilly's

Good deal, I can get them cheaper from the dealer but will look into this place.

yup, i bought a set for my 2wd blazer from springtech but sent them back as soon as i read ON THE SPINDLE "NOT FOR RACING!!" which translates to me into "cheap piece of crap" i could be wrong....

I've done the TT and shackles and i want about another 3 inches of lift on my 2wd X for a total of 5 inches of lift and im not going to mess with a body lift. Does anyone have any information about this kit 2WD 3" LIFT SPINDLE SUSPENSION SYSTEM KIT Would i need an all new leaf pack to get 5 inches in the rear? Would i be able to clear 285/75/16 BFG All-Terrains with JUST this kit + TT & Shackles?

Thanks,
Colton

haven't read the thread yet but i have the pro comp from jc Whitney and i love it.. i have 2 sets of add a leafs on each side in the rear. and with the shackles it evens it up.. torsion bars are cranked to the max... and i fit 33's under it with room to spare...

expect to go thru a set of ball joints every 9 months... as i am doing if not sooner...

doetche or however the hell you spell it, IS the same as springtech. order from springtech, you get doetche spindles... i think i'm going for the fabtech spindles on my ST

Why would lift spindles cause the ball-joints to wear faster? If I installed lift spindles and left the torsion bars at stock then the thing should ride like stock right?

EDIT: In re-reading I guess you were saying that becaue your torsion bars are adjusted to the max right? That's why the ball-joint fails?

because one can not stop at just teh spindals.. they must crank the t bars up all the way.. it is lifting 101 lol...

I already did 2" with my torsion bars and am seriously considering the extra lift form the spindles. I recently heard bad things about the Fab-tech ones.

I now wonder which is better: Fab-tech or Pro Comp.

Ok, Here is the website to Doetsch Enterprise's lift spindles. I am going to order them from "SpringTech" from ebay because the website says that they will work with my stock wheels and the spindles are made with HAAS CNC machinery which is a high quality company that makes "machining" machines and the spindles are made from one of these machines. They are also cast out of "Ductile Iron" [heres the definition]. With all this together, it seems to be a high quality product and im not afraid to purchase these for my X....as you can see, i've done my research.

Thanks,
Colton

Hopefully they'll hold up. Post some pics and keep us informed. I'll check those out too.
