Don't know about MPG, but definately made less RWHP on my truck.

So it took hp away, or gave less than claimed?

If as Doug said, your Pro-M was not set up properly and you were running open loop, you will hurt performance, no question.
But are plenty of people that have seen H.P. gains.

After Doug adjusted things, it made less RWHP than the stock Ford MAF.

What things did Doug adjust? and were you in open or closed loop?

I adjusted the PCM's programming to make it work with the factory PCM.

I adjusted the transfer function in the PCM to work with the Pro-M meter so it would act normally. When we first connected it it would stay in open loop and the short term wouldn't adjust at all. When I adjusted the low end of the transfer functon by more then 30% it would finally stabilize and go into closed loop and allow for adjustments by the computer, this was all at idle. Now at full throttle we didn't really loose a great amount of power, maybe 1 hp if that but the big deal was we didn't gain any at all. For the $200+price tag that was my biggest concern.

Thanks, Doug.
