I have a 2011 Explorer. Recently, actually just this week the AC is working kind of funny. I turn it on and it starts normal, everything is fine.., but after about 10 minutes, it will turn off..,and then it will turn on...again...., it's done this about 4 times this week..
Could it be the compressor or what.., ? anybody have any ideas?:exp:

Sounds like the normal cycling of the compressor. About the only time it will run continuously is with a high heat load until it gets the interior to the selected temp.

Could possibly be low on refrigerant. Might be a good idea to have it checked.

Welcome to the Forum TXdriver73.:wavey:
As DeepBlueSC stated, it sounds like the normal operation of an A/C system. Having said that, something has obviously changed from previous operation to make you question it. When you say it turns off, are you perhaps referring to the A/C light on the panel?
It would also help if you added the model of your Explorer to your profile so it shows in the margin when you post.
