So here in NY, it was a ridiculous 90 today. So what do I find, my a/c was low on R134A, so I topped it up and after it was full I let the car sit and cool down. Later on I go to drive it start it up, enjoy the a/c and as soon as i start to drive i feel weird vibrating and noises. I look under the hood and the freeon with die shot everywhere but the system was still full, any ideas what could have caused this.

Thanks,
Ed

There is a pressure relief valve located close to the compressor that releases excess pressure when the system is overfilled. It's a lesson I learned recently, which is why I now pay very close attention to the a/c system's limits when adding refridgerant.

I agree, you either overfilled it, or you have a.) a blockage somewhere in the system, causing on overpressurization, or b.) a compressor that is on it's way out.

I had a Neon that did this for about week, until the compressor ate itself for lunch, and siezed.
