Hi All,
I did the massage center install yesterday and have a few problems, I think. First of all, the message center came out of a '98, same year as mine. The only functions i really wanted were the gas mileage functions, so the oil, oil temp, washer fluid, etc. i did not hook up. Now, the problem i am expereincing is that the average economy, intsant economy, and gallons used are not working properly. The range, gallons left, and miles driven work fine. The gallons used reads "0" all of the time and the average economy reads "99.9" all the time and the instant economy reads "0" when i am stopped and in park but as soon as i move, even slowly, it instantly goes to "99.9". Now, i have tested my wires and i am getting power through all that i think i need. So, with that said, my question is that is this something that will adjust over time or do i have something wrong? I have read other threads and guys have said it takes time to adjust, but shouldnt i be getting a reading that is somewhat in the ballpark? I am guessing that if i do have a problem, it is with the fuel flow wire. I hooked into this wire after the big plug in my engine compartment, but that shouldnt make a difference i dont think, unless it changes color after the plug. Please help
thanks,
