hey all,

i've been having trouble opening my hood lately, ever since I installed a hood deflector.

i can still get the hood open - but only if i stay in the car and keep the hood-latch pulled while somebody else lifts up the hood (or by wedging a flashlight in there so i can pop up the hood myself...)

when i just pop the latch inside normally, i'll go out to the hood and it won't budge up, seems to be catching on something.

just to clarify - the main problem is getting the hood to "pop" up, so i can reach inside and undo the latch that lets the hood open completely. once I can get the hood to pop up, there's no problem.

any ideas on how to fix this? thanks!!!

Make sure the hood deflector isn't rubbing anywhere. It sounds like the deflector is causing resistance that isn't allowing the hood to pop out of the latch. If it isn't touching anything it could be due to the added weight of the deflector that is causing the problem.

crank the two hood bumpers up 3/4 of a turn.
Increase by 1/4 incraments if needed.
