just had a car alarm put in my car a few days ago and now i notice none of my brake lights are working, not even the center one. First, which fuses control my brake lights? i checked one that said left stop and right stop i beleive and they were fine. Anything else i can check before i just bring it back to the place that installed my alarm and make them fix it. Thanks in advance

check the wire to your brake light switch, the switch is mounted right on top of your brake pedal under the dash

It is VERY likely that when they installed the alarm they messed up the switch or wire since most alarms get stuffed under the dash...

thanks, i'll check that..Are there any fuses that control the brake lights?

edit: is the switch covered by a little cover? is it near the hood release kind of?

i think you're right, cause i looked under by the brake pedal and the harness going to the switch was loose. I pushed it in and now i have brake lights sometimes, so i think i may need to secure the harness better. I think i still may take it to the shop and have them fix it properly
