PROBLEM WITH LIGHTS

all my internal lights stay on even when all of my doors are shut. I checked the hatch and everything seems to be shut. The thing i have notices is that the drivers side door when closed doesnt feel sealed like the other doors. For the mean time i have just taken out the fuse, but that also shuts off my cd player so i want to get the problem fixed. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem or should i take it to a mechanic. THANKS

Might sound like a stupid question, but could it be your interior light dimmer switch? I think on early models it's integrated into the headlight switch. Also, does your door ajar idiot light stay on?

Is your dimmer switch turned up all the way to the point that it has clicked into the "always on" position?
