problem with new emblem...pic

i got this newer style emblem off ebay, the darker blue kind and it's smaller. there is some chrome missing from the top and the guy never told me. i either send it back or fix it myself. can i sand this down and re-chrome it somehow? i've used chrome spray paint in the past and it sucked. it was dull and sivery, not chrome. any suggestions?

You can not spray paint chrome. It doesn't matter what the spray can say or what the bottle cap color is. It can not be done. You could send it back and get your money back but I doubt that the previous owner could fix it himself.

damn, it's always something. i didn't think i could spray it. maybe i could sand the chrome down and spray that dark blue like the center that could be cool.

i was gonna put it on my front billet grille. if i decide against sanding and repainting the chrome to match the dark blue, i'll just get my $$ for it. i won't have to cut my losses. i think the blue might look good though.

heres what i did to fix it. painted the chrome the same dark metallic blue color that the inside is. i sanded, primered,painted, and clear coated it. tell me what ya think.
