So I'm having a few problems with my X lately. It's an 01 Eddie Bauer, 5.0L AWD.

First thing, my gas mileage has been sucking it. I used to live in Maryland, around Washington DC, and I could get around 400 miles on a tank if not more. Last July I moved to Oklahoma, and now I'm lucky to get 275 miles to a tank. Is it just my change in location? Plus, I'm driving in more stop and go traffic now, and for only like 15 miles at a time (smaller town). Could that have something to do with it? My X has about 55k miles on it.

Second, my drivers door lock has stopped responding to the electric door locks. You can hear 'something' move, but the door never unlocks. I have to use the key and unlock it manually. What should I look for?

Third, I just noticed this the other day. When I have my lights on (parking or headlights, too), my left blinker doesn't blink when turned on, it just stays steady. The right one works just fine. When the lights are turned off, the left blinker operatres normally. Again, what should I look for?

Thanks!

For mileage, try a tune up, new air filter, fuel filter, clean throttle body. Driving conditions can vary fuel mileage greatly- having to accelerate into traffic, stop and go, etc.

Can't help you with the lock issue, sorry :(

The blinker sounds like you need a new flasher, but that is an odd problem. Are both bulbs OK?

both my front door on my 2000 limited are doing the same thing, except the driver's side door works intermittently. I can hear the lock actuator cycling and see the knob on top barley move. I believe something is binding but have not had time to pull door panel to investigate and probably won't have time to any time soon. but please post if you figure it out
