Last week on about Saturday my headlights worked fine. Sunday I get up and it's raining so I turn them on, and ----- nothing. I checked the fuses and the bulbs - all fine. The high beams work, signlas work, every other light works except the low beams. Any idea what could be causing this problem?

Multi-function switch??

I had a similar problem with the 92 I used to own. I don't know what was wrong with it, the bulbs looked fine but after replacing BOTH bulbs they worked.

thinking multifunction switch as well...if you pull the stalk to activate the highs, do you notice the lows illuminating b4 the highs? how are the intemittent wipers functioning - at all erratic? these problems are linked with the MF(ing) switch

the wipers work fine. And when I engaged the high-beams the low beams didn't even blink. Any other problem it could be besides the multifunction switch? Or is there any other test I can make?

i'm on my way to replacing my second multifunction switch. It used to be $42, but now it's $52 through fordpartsnetwork.com.

It takes about 10 minutes to install.

do you ever get a buzzing sound when you partially apply your directional (turn signal)? That is a common symptom of a faulty MFswitch. Aside from that, you could try replacing both bulbs as 1996Limited mentioned - it's $10 - and at the least you've got a second set if they're truly OK.
