programming of keyless entry fob doesn't work

my remotes worked

The received package included programming instructions for a Focus, Towncar and Ford, Lincoln, Mercury which I followed. I did not follow the Explorer note about having one door open. All doors were closed and unlocked. I reprogrammed my worn but known functional remote first and rapidly followed with the two new remotes. The doors locked and unlocked after each remote was programmed. After the programming mode was exited I tested each remote and they all worked from a distance of about 10 feet from the vehicle.

10 feet eh?

Notice about the same with mine and I hate it. Been considering looking into a way to increase the range by adding a better receiving antenna. Can't use the remote to find the vehicle in a parking lot with this short of range.

Alright, I will add that to my list of things to try. Hopefully one of them will work. These only cost $10 for the pair with free shipping, so they probably aren't worth sending back. I haven't been able to find any support site from the manufacturer.

Really missing that hour, eh?

As I said in my post, I did all of these steps. The door locks cycled (step 5 above) to indicate that programming mode was activated. When I pressed a button on the remote, nothing happened. The door locks were supposed to cycle again to confirm that the remote was programmed, but that didn't happen.

I need to know what to try next.

IF YOU HAVE AN AFTERMARKET RADIO AN AMPLIFER , LED LIGHTS OR BACK UP CAMERA IN YOUR CAR THEY NEED TO BE UNPLUGGED OR PULL THE FUSE BEFORE PROGRAMMING BECAUSE THE FREQUENCY WILL INTERFER WITH THE PROGRAMMING AND IT WONT PROGRAM TO YOUR CAR CORRECTLY EVEN THO IT HAS WENT THROUGH THE PROGRAMMING PROCESS BECAUSE YOUR RECEIVER WILL BECOME CONFUSED ON WHAT FREQENCY TO HOOK TO. HOPE THIS HELPS.

Hello,

I just got two new keyless entry fobs from amazon,
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KTIYXLU?tag=seriouexplor-20

I followed the instructions, but I couldn't get them to work.

I did the following according to the instructions.

1. close all the dors
2. open the drivers door and press the unlock button
3. insert the key and turn from off to run 8 times
as the instructions indicated, the locks cycled on the 8th turn
4. leave the key in the run position and press the lock button on the keyless remotes

The locks are supposed to cycle when you do this, but nothing happened, I tried all the buttons on both remotes and there was nothing. I also tried the procedure with the drivers door closed. The locks cycled on the 8th key turn, but there was still nothing when I pressed the lock button on the remote.

It seems like I am doing the right thing here but it just didn't work. Any suggestions on what to do next or should I contact the vendor about a RMA?

I now have the same problem. Did anyone ever figure out what the problem is?
