Well the truck goes in to the shop tomorrow...brakes and a fuel line replacement. So hopefully that means saturday is finish the 2.5" exhaust day! :D

Project Finished

Well I just got back from midas. And everything is rapped up for this thread now. What...next....? Maybe new speakers. :dunno:

Pictures to come soon :)

:thumbsup:allright icecube

Caldwell, incase you are interested: midas wanted around 89.00 for the muffler back, added the tip and that boosted it up to $136.00 because of the tip and tax :)

Here comes the pictures:

Nate,

how come the piece's midas welded are crimped ?

they look like 2.25'' pipe with 2.5'' ends...

Midas just has straight pipe and they "custom" bend it as it goes. I told them 2.5". Thats what they said they used and what the recipt says.
EDIT: The pipe I used the OD (outer diameter) is 2.5". They may not use ID, but OD. So it may be like a 2 3/8" exhaust pipe ID but 2.5" OD compared to a 2.5" ID probably has a 2 5/8 OD

ok, i just want to get my exhaust back over the rear axle again so i can do a little more off roading this winter...

next project ?

I'll go measure the pipe tomorrow. See what shows up as the OD. The truck pulls a lot better than before the work was done. I remembered the guys at Midas were worried that a 2.5" pipe wouldn't fit, but I told them do it anyway. If you look closely on the muffler pic you can see the pipe I bought is slightly smaller than the muffler inlet.

Next project is probably sound system, then some cragar soft 8's or a set of custom wheels, then onto black headlights and LED tail lights with tail light guards. Maybe even a brush guard...

Hopefully my final post in this thread :) The video I've been promising with a higher rev.

EDIT: I hope this thread will help anyone else out who's looking at a magnaflow exhaust!

We need to get the others on the forum. Definantly recognize the veiw:) Im keepin the mounty on the street( no off road) its the daily driver for the fam, but it doesnt hurt to have a really suped up DD though! ;)

Definately need some other people from utah on here. I've seen a few customized explorers, one looking like mine with the chrome grille. Unfortunately I haven't ran into that person yet, to refer them to the forum.
And exactly may as well have a suped up DD, and my X is my daily driver, and my "toy". I figured since the day I bought the truck with no mud on it, it needed some...
