PTU Leaking

Well 63k and my ptu is leaking. Dealer said not covered under warranty. Really pissed about it. I've never had anything like this happen. It's my wife's car never towed anything and been in 4x4 maybe twice. Dealer said $1500 to fix it

2001 - 2005 forum, no idea what the vehicle is but it's got at least a 10 year powertrain warranty?
