I have a slight pull to the right when braking. I figure it is a bad caliper. It happens most of the time but not all of the time. When I replaced brakes about 15k miles ago I put in new pins and cleaned the area where the pads rub on really well. Could it be a bad left caliper...or should I reclean this area again before changing this caliper out...Ray :us:

Could be that the caliper isn't sliding on the caliper pins. You should inspect the caliper pins, clean them and regrease them. If they are damaged by corrosion, you should replace them.

Edit: Oops I didn't read carefully. You probably don't need to replace if you already did 15K ago, but inspect the bore that the pin is supposed to slide in.

check your tire pressure first

Your left side is probably not functioning as it should leaving most of your braking on the right... hence the pull to the right. Sometime (usually) when you push the piston back in to replace the discs, this can cause a problem with the piston depending on how clean they were and the condition of the rubber protecting the area.
