Hello, i havent been here in a while, i have an 01 Ranger XLT, but anyways my girlfriend is getting a 95 Explorer Limited, it as the 4.0 OHC, dont know what rear axle, has 4wd, and 4wd auto, the interior is in mint condition!! great vehicle, the only thing wrong with it is that when switcing into 4wd Low, it dosnt engage, i thought a T-Case flush would do it, what do you guys think?

ANyways she got it for $4,500. I think it is a steal.....what do you guys think??

THanks!

It doesn't have the SOHC, it has the 160 hp OHV.

It's probably a dirty/bad tcase shift motor.

You can find out what rear axle is by looking on the drivers door panel & then referring to this chart http://www.explorerforum.com/ntrprize/Axle.htm. Did you put the transmission into neutral when shifting into 4LO? If that doesn't work, you may need to clean the shift motor. $4500 is a great price for a 95 depending on the mileage & condition of the truck..

I did, i tried it in neutral, park and drive....i wasnt sure if it was like my Ranger where i coudl shift on the fly in drive, but aparently not...i really like the 4wd auto though! lol...correct me if i am wrong but that means you can do normal driving in 4wd auto correct?? THanks guys! oh yah and it as 128,000 miles on it, and all hte fluids except T-Case were changed, tranny fluid looks great.
