Purge valve issue!

Hi Guys

Need a little help please, had a issue with not being able to gas the tank (max 1g at the pump) and getting gas vapor when opening the gas cap and changed a bunch of things inc the vapor canisters and purge valve but I just opened the purge valve under the hood and getting the hissing of gas fumes/vapor so I don't think the purge valve is working or not opening...its currently in a shut state which I think is correct but not sure where to go from here or what could be causing it to not open..electical issue or bad valve?

Can anyone assist please, its for a 2007 Sporttrac ltd v8. Many thanks

Hi, just to add to this post, went back out and plugged the purge valve back in, checked voltage to the valve 13v, engine side line getting suction, plugged back into valve and no suction on bottom of valve that would suck from the tank canister. Does this mean a bad valve?

Anyone? Getting power to the purge valve but it doesn't seem to open .
