does anyone have any experience with the custom fitting boxes made by Q-logic and/or MTX? I'm talking about the ones that you can see in Crutchfield that fit in that cargo net space on the passenger side of the cargo area on the Explorers. Seems to me like the MTX is a much better value, you get a 10" sub and the 100w amp built in the box for like $450, the Q-logic is like $250 for the box alone....Any thoughts???????????

Go with the MTX. The Thunder 6000 sub it comes with pounds and a 100 watt amp isn't too bad either.

I see explorer express sells the q-logic boxes for $229. Does anyone know where I can find either the mtx or q-logic boxes even cheaper? All I need is the enclosure. I have a 10 inch kappa ready to go!

If you go to http://www.woofersetc.com they have the 10" q-logic box for $195 and the 8" box for $175. They also have q-logic kick panels on sale for $129. The only problem is it takes forever to get stuff from them, but the two things I have ordered have shown up, I just had to remind them. I guess that's the price you pay for being cheap. JL Audio also makes a custom box that's even better than the other two but it's a lot more expensive.

Hey, thanks! $195 for the q-logic is not bad! They also have the 10" infinity perfect for $195. I think I found the perfect combination!

I am having a difficult time getting bass response from my sub. The sub is Orion's top-of-the-line small enclosure subwoofer, the Orion XTRpro 10d (DVC), which is housed in the 10" Q-Logic custom enclosure for 1991-99 Ford Explorers. Power is supplied through a the rear two channels (bridged mono) of Orion's HCCA 425 amplifier. So I know I am using high quality stuff here, except I can't get very good bass response. IF my subs rubber coated magnet is touching the back of the enclosure would this effect the performance? I am thinking of porting the Q-Logic enclosure, but if I do that then it may hurt the resale value of the enclosure.

Please advise!!!

Thanks,
Jayson
