It would be a 5 speed. I'm thinking maybe a vacuum leak or a fuel problem. Maybe computer.

if it was a computer problem a shop would see that when they hook it up to the scaner no?

oh yeah, guess so :) They'd also pull a fuel code. Hmmmm, if I was still on speaking terms with my old mechanic (who owned one) I'd ask him. Too bad he fudged up my transmission and now we might have to sue him :(

see im asking cause my friend is tired of the problems with the car and he wants to get rid of it... now the car is sweet! its in perfect shape.. in and out... the paint is like new... so if i can get some ideas i would buy it and try to fix it... but like i said its been to 3 shops and noone knows what could be wrong with it... =\

you should see just how much throttle you need to give it to make it stall. 85%? 90%? 95%? Also, watch the boost gauge and see what happens at those throttle positions.

BTW, they're sweet cars. If he wants to get rid of it, I'm sure you can find the problem and enjoy :)

on my goped ;) my engine will stall out at wot if i have too much fuel going into it.... is his 92 tbird fuel injected or carbed? i would look into a fuel delivery problem.... maybe the fuel filter could be the culprit... mine acted funny after my roll until i changed it..... my maf was also dirty and cuased wierd operating gremlins till i cleaned it....

The 92 T-bird SC was super charged... From what you described the problem could be with the super charger... Maybe it is not getting enough air. There could also be a possiblility of a seal being bad on the supercharger.

I am no expert, it is just a thought. :)

most likely the computer, i had one before i bought my x. Nice cars. my computer was bad and the first place i brought it to said it was a fuel prob but after it was still happening, turned out needed a new computer and some other electronics, cost me 800

Just out of curiosity, anyone check the fuel pressure or the fuel pump and regulator?
