Question about 20s and 22s

Okay Im just wondering, If I can fit 20"s with 45 series tires, and a 3" drop, why cant I fit 22s with a 45 series tire, at stock hight?

can't really help you but with the right tire u can fit 22's even 24's or bigger. 22's would look great so what it takes to get them on there is what u should do. the bigger the better imo if i had a 2wd x i'd have 22's or 24's on it. 20's are getting to the point where everyone has them and they just seem too small on certain vehicles. go with 22's it'll stand out much better. make sure people notice u when u go by. just my 2 cents. have it decked out with tint, bang, screens, big wheels. thats how u do it only thing my truck lacks is some wheels i'm actually thinking about chrome 20's and super swampers for my truck. just not sure if mud and rocks would ruin the wheels. how bad they'd scratch... have to check up on that. but it sure as heck would make it stand out.

I want 22s so bad, buyt im just thinking about the cost of the tires, which will have to be small. Then I started looking at all these trucks, seeing 20s on 3,4, or 5'' drops, and Im wondering how 2" of rim profile will be worse than 5 less inches of clearance
as for the rims, the bigger the better is right. im trying to get my mom to put the new lexani 30s on her tahoe, but she aint havin it LOL

You don't understand how tires work. Tires are measured in proportion. So when you have, say, 285/45/22, not only is it wider, but the sidewalls are going to be LARGER than a 275/45/20 because of the PROPORTIONING. You cannot fit 45 tires on 2nd jens without lots of rubbing and clearing issues.

Do your homework on how tires work and maybe you'll see what I'm talking about.
