I've decided my amp will go under passenger rear seat. I spent some quality time in the X trying to figure out how to run the RCAs (from HU to back seat) and the speaker signal wires (from back seat to HU area, where they'll connect to factory speaker wires). I'd like them to go under the passenger side carpet.

1. I can't figure out how to get the cables from behind the head unit down to the passenger side floor. It doesn't seem like there's any space or hole where these cables can emerge.

2. Do I need to take out the passenger front seat to run the wires under the carpet? Seems like the carpet is too tight to run them any other way.

Any suggestions helpful!

When you pull your radio out shine a light under the passenger side of the dash, you should be able to see the light, run your wires were the light is shining up through. If you pull up the sill plates you will find a channel that the factory runs its wires through. This is were I run all my wires.

Flashlight idea is very good; will do.

I pulled up the sills and saw those channels. It didn't look like there would be enough room to run an RCA bundle & speaker wire bundle; mostly because the factory wiring was already in there! I'd like to do it in there if I could; it would be much simpler.

It can be done. I do it all then time at work.

I thought I remembered seeing 2 channels under the door sill - one looked empty, next to the one with all the factory bundles - is that what you used? Or do you jam them right in with the factory wiring?

Sorry for all the questions - I just discovered all this today!

[At least I did determine I'll route the amp power cable (4 gauge to be upgrade-safe) along the same type of channel, but on the driver's side.]

Never mind...the empty channel accepts the retainer clips for the door sill. Power line under there might get poked. Found out there's plenty of room to run a 4 gauge power line alongside the factory wiring, all the way to the back. Very convenient!

thats cool as hell

its doible

I RAN 1/O GAUGE(BIG AS A QUARTER) CABLE IN THAT CHANNEL ALONG WITH RCAS AND SOME OTHER MISC LINES SO YOU CAN FIT THEM YOU JUST HAVE TO PULL ON THAT LITTLE PLASTEC HOLDER TO GE IT TO FIT CURRECTLY
