question about engine swap

I have a 97 explorer that I rolled and the engine and tranny are perfectly fine. I ended up buying a 93 explorer as replacement and was wondering will the 97 engine swap into the 93? I was told they would before I bought the 93 but looking at them im having doubts. Can someone please put this to rest for me?!

I'm no expert at this subject at all, but I can't see why it wouldn't work. Have you checked 1st and 2nd gen forums for any ideas?
